Why We Donate 2% of Proceeds
It's essential to recognize the privileges we have in life. Our business founder, as a young girl, always dreamed of owning her own company. That dream has become a reality, but not without the support system and educational opportunities that have shaped her journey. Despite the skills she developed through her MBA, Master's, and undergraduate degrees, starting her own business has still felt like an overwhelming challenge. Reflecting on how many young children, especially girls, don't have the same opportunities has ignited a deep passion in her to create meaningful change. She knows that without access to basic school supplies or a community that encouraged her education, she would never have had the opportunities she enjoys today. It is this awareness that fuels her drive to give others the chance to dream big as she once did.
Vision
While there are many amazing charities we can donate to, we decided to focus on providing young children facing barriers to an education an opportunity to become literate and thrive. Specifically, we donate 2% of all our proceeds in obtaining necessary school supplies and books. As the business takes off, we hope to continue to increase this percentage.
By working closely with our trusted contacts in Karachi, Pakistan, we aim to provide school supplies according to children's specific needs to the Orangi school in Orangi town, Pakistan.
